Kenya Morans are all set for the FIBA Afro-Basket Window 1 Qualifiers that throws off Saturday in Monastir, Tunisia.

Coach Cliff Owuor said he is putting the finishing touches to the team that reported to camp last Saturday and has now been trimmed down to 12.

The trio being pursued are guards Tylor Ongwae from Germany and Derick Ogechi ( Spain) as well as Joel Awich who plays in France.

“We cut the number to 12 before moving to camp. Once the tickets for the diaspora players are confirmed, we will drop two local-based players and name the final squad,” said Owuor.

He revealed that once they arrive in Tunisia, they will approach teams to give them friendly matches before the tournament's opening game against the host.

Owuor noted assured that the team defence that was a worry has been fixed and was impressed with the boys showing during their 103-64 victory against University Select.

“They did a better job defensively than in the earlier game. We just want to continue doing the same in the remaining days. The offence is good,” he said.
