AFC Leopards docked points for role in abandoned Homeboyz clash

AFC Leopards have been docked three points for failing to control their fans during the abandoned Football Kenya federation match on Sunday at Bukhungu Stadium.

In addition, FKF have awarded the match to Homeboyz on a three points, two goals basis.

The FKF Leagues and Competition Committee said the decisions were arrived at after perusing the submissions from both teams and the match report from the officials.

The match was abandoned in the 31st minute due to crowd trouble, seven minutes after Hillary Otieno had given Homeboyz the lead.

"AFC Leopards will play their next four home matches behind closed doors," FKF ruling added, insisting that the club must ensure this is adhered to.

"The club will also incur all the medical expenses for center referee Michael Obuya."

In addition, the 12-time KPL champions have been slapped with a Sh500,000 fine.

"The disciplinary proceedings to be opened on Leopards' coach Patrick Aussems and Lawrence Webo for their conduct in the above said match," added the statement.
