Kakamega high school appeal against Musingu Scorpions for allegedly fielding an ineligible player against the Green Commandos in the County School games semi-final match has been thrown out.

The institution (Kakamega) argued that the player named Brian, who wore jersey number 22, plays for Kisumu-based club Bayerl Chipolopolo. Kakakmega also claimed that the aforementioned player is a student at Kasagam secondary school.

According to the letter signed by the Kakamga County Director of Education Dickson Ogonya, the appeal was turned down on many grounds.

"The appeal did not mention the school Kakamega high was appealing against and the appeal letter was not dated and signed by the affiliate body.

"The panel also found several Brians and could not ascertain the right Brian. The letter was not served to the respondents as well," read the statement.

It further added: "The investigation could not go beyond your appeal's content in light of the above, the status quo remains."

Musingu beat Kakamega in post-match penalties, before winning against Shanderema in the finals to book a place in the regionals.
