The Sakaja Super Cup entered the second week with a total of 81 matches in 17 sub-counties scheduled for the weekend.
In Mathare Sub County, Green Park played to a 2-2 draw against Shilia whereas Lula FC won 3-0 against Marine FC. Shofco Mathare lost 1-0 to Wakanda while Comrade FC won 2-1 against Shantit in Pool 'A'.
In the second round of play, Shantit won 2-1 against Marines courtesy of goals from Robert Wakwa and Joseph Kariangi.
Pool 'B' witnessed a duel between Imara and Faith Homes where the latter won 1-0. Pool FC drew 1-1 against Mlango Kubwa United while New Mathare won 1-0 against Mathare ERC.
The second round of play was between Mlango Kubwa and Faith Homes where the former won 4-0.
Pool C saw Huruma Sports beat Mathare Hospital 1-0, Moroto Sportif and True Colours drew 1-1 while Asec Huruma won 2-0 against Huruma Sport.
Round Two saw Asec Huruma and Huruma Sports record a barren draw.
Pool D was highlighted by a 2-0 win for Sagan against Shikia. All Stars dominated Madoya with a 3-1 victory whereas Jukius Burger sealed a 2-0 win over Green Park.
Round Two of the matches witnessed a 2-2 draw between Green Park and Shilia.
In Ruaraka Sub-County, the women’s teams were highlighted by Baba Dogo Babes FC who sealed a 2-0 victory against Mathare Flames. Titans won 1-0 against Ruaraka Sports after a penalty goal from Elly Omondi.
Zimmerman United drew 1-1 against City Lions in Roysambu Sub-county while Brighton Onyango (two goals and Indire Allan capped off a 3-1 win for Pac University against Chapel Field FC.
In Lang’ata Sub-County, Westham secured a 3-0 victory over Raila Village. Undugu Famere won 4-2 against Manyatta.
Embakasi South Sub-County played hosts to Legends FC who drew 2-2 against Ruben United. Mukuru drew 1-1 with FC Barca while Corinthians lost 2-0 to Nyati FC.
The Sakaja Super Cup kicked off on September 30 and targets 400 grassroots clubs in a bid to expose raw untapped talent. The tournament is expected to end on December 16.
Winners of the tournament, sponsored by the Sakaja Foundation in partnership with the Nairobi City County Government and Football Kenya Federation, will walk away with a whopping Sh3 million.
