Ulinzi Starlets’ head coach Joseph Wambua has underscored the pivotal nature of their match against Kenya Police, noting that it is a “must-win” affair if they are to keep the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) title dream alive.

“It’s going to be a tough match but we are mentally prepared. Big games are won through tactics and strategy. I know both Ulinzi and Police are good but we have nothing to fear,” he noted.

“Police are our small sisters. However, we respect them as they are a good team,” emphasised Wambua, exuding confidence in running over their opponents.

Acknowledging the absence of key player Diana Shakava due to injury, Wambua expressed faith in the depth of his squad, affirming: “We have capable players to step in her shoes as she still won’t be fit to play.”

Kenya Police Bullets currently lead the table with 34 points from 14 matches. The law enforcers are still unbeaten having won 10 matches and drawn four. Ulinzi Starlets are next on the log with 29 points from the same number of matches with eight wins, five draws and a loss.
