Kibera Ladies have their eyes on the Women’s Premier League top spot when they face Nakuru City Queens at Wolves Den on Saturday.

Kibera are fourth on the table with 24 points from 14 matches — seven wins, three draws and four losses.

Kenya Police Bullets are top with 34 points from 14 matches in an unbeaten record of 10 wins and four draws.

Ulinzi Starlets are second with 29 points from eight wins, five draws and a loss.

Vihiga are third placed with 28 points from 13 matches — eight wins,  four draws and a loss. 

Kibera head coach David Vijago expressed confidence in his team’s ability to maintain their attacking style of play and secure a win against relegation-threatened Nakuru City Queens.

“It is going to be a tough match since we are playing a team that is fighting to avoid relegation. We are well prepared and have all our players available. We are playing at home and will, therefore, play our attacking style.”

Vijago had set top five as his main target but has now shifted to a podium finish if not win the title.

With their initial target of a top-five finish comfortably achieved, Kibera Ladies are now focused on claiming the top spot in the league.
