Police face Shabana friendly this weekend at Police Sacco Stadium

FKF women's league champions Police Bullets will battle their Mathare Women FC in a mid-morning clash.

FKF Cup champions Police FC battle Shabana in a pre-season friendly match at Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday to Mark the annual Police Day. 

The high-profile clash will be preceded by several events including the unveiling of Kenya Police's new stars and the squads to continental assignment (both men and women teams.  

Sports Principal Secretary,  Raymond Omollo, IG designate Douglas Kanja and club chairman Nyale Munga will be present

Kenya Police FC Board of Trustees vice chair Carol Kiambi said the all-encompassing day is a testament to the club’s commitment to empowering communities and transforming lives and celebration of the Kenya Police's stellar campaign.

" We are thrilled to present the annual police FC Day, to celebrate our unsung heroes and to unveil the new generation of soccer stars as we aim for major honours on the continent," said Kiambi.

 FKF women's league champions Police Bullets will battle Mathare Women FC in a mid-morning clash.

Police FC fans, the Media Team, and Police DT Sacco FC will also square off in different exhibition matches.

“We welcome all fans to celebrate our big day as we enjoy a full cocktail of entertainment and bonding moments," said Board of Trustee treasurer, Malkit Singh. 

Police CEO Chris Oguso said their friendly comes after the Charity Cup clash with KPL champions Gor Mahia was cancelled due to lack of venue. The clash will act as a curtain raiser for the 2024/2025 Premier League League season which kicks off on August 24th.

Top Kenyan musicians are expected to perform at the event.
