Shabana head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo says newly signed players are settling well at the club.

The club has added more than 10 players ahead of the 2024/25 Kenyan Premier League season.

“I have clarified what I want from them in the upcoming season. We have made excellent signings. These are the players I wanted. However, we need at least two strikers,” said Omollo.

Goalkeepers Maxwel Mulili and Stephen Ochieng have joined from AFC Leopards and Murang’a Seal respectively. Others are defenders Brian Bett, Meja Atariza, Brian Ochieng and Elvis Osok.

Midfielders Sam Kintu, Cliff Nyakeya, James Mazembe and Shem Odinga have also signed for the Kisii-based club.

They have played four build-up matches. They drew with lower-tier side CUSCO, beat Micheal Olunga Foundation Academy 2-1, lost 1-0 to Kenya Police during the Kenya Police Day and beat Ulinzi Stars 2-0 in Lanet, Nakuru on Tuesday.

Kevin Omundi and Justin Nyabuto scored for Shabana in the win over the soldiers.

On Saturday, Shabana will intensify their pre-season against Nakuru Bucks at Nakuru West Secondary School before taking on Nakuru West Academy.

The team will camp in Nakuru for one week, according to secretary-General Elizaphan Kerama.
