Home player Nathan Njuguna bagged the Division One title as the 17th leg of the 2024 NCBA Golf Series concluded at the picturesque Limuru Country Club over the weekend.

The tournament at the challenging 18-hole, par-72 course, attracted 228 golfers.

Division One featured golfers with handicaps ranging from 0 to 12.

Home player Njuguna, playing off a handicap of 11, carded an impressive round of 42 Stableford points to claim top honours in the category. 

He beat handicap 9, James Mbui, who finished as the men’s runner-up with 40 points.

In the  Division One ladies category, handicap 11 Wambui Gitonga, reigned supreme, claiming victory with a round of 28 points.

Division Two featuring golfers between 13 and 24 witnessed an intense battle, with Waweru Thuku and Edwin Miano scoring 41 points. Thuku, playing off handicap 14, secured the men’s winner title, beating Miano (handicap 23) on countback. 

Handicap 23, Beth Kariuki, won the ladies’ title with 39 points, closely followed by Mumbi Gatu (handicap 20), who finished as the runner-up with 38 points.

Hope Oduor (handicap 28) reigned supreme in Division Three after posting 40 points. Maryjane Miako (handicap 25) finished second with 39 points.

 Joseph Kageche dominated the junior category with 53 points to secure his place in the Grand Finale.

In the staff category, Erick Nabutola, playing off handicap 31, emerged top with 37 points, while Fiona Mwende (handicap 33) led the guest category with a strong showing of 42 points.
