Kabras Sugar and KCB, who are separated by just one point in the circuit standings, are set to battle it out during the last day of the Kabeberi Sevens on Sunday at the RFUEA ground in Ngong, Nairobi.

Kabras sit at the top with 92 points followed by the bankers with 91 and Strathmore Leos are third with 82.

Both Kabras and KCB won in their respective pools unbeaten on Saturday to advance into the quarter-finals.

Defending champions KCB are in Group D, alongside Moi University Arsonists, Menengai Oilers, and Catholic Monks.

KCB ruthlessly thrashed Moi University 50-0 and went on to show their prowess in beating Catholic monks 35-7 before destroying Menengai Oilers with a 17-7 score.

Kabras on the other hand are grouped with Mwamba Rugby, Daystar Falcons and Masinde Muliro University in Group C.

Kabras showed why they are the leaders of the circuit after thrashing Mwamba 21-10 and Daystar Falcons 22-7 before completing Day One with a 17-17 draw against Masinde Muliro University.

Kabras will face Menengai Oilers in the Cup quarters whereas KCB will face Mwamba.

Other teams that reached the Cup quarter finals are Nakuru, Kenya Harlequin, Tisap 7’s champions Nondescripts and Strathmore Leos.

Nakuru will be up against Quins while Strathmore Leos will be hoping to get the best of Nondies in what will be a repeat of the Tisap 7’s final.

The stage is set for the final showdown which promises to be intense with both teams that sit at the top eyeing the championship.
