Kenya Under-20 international Wilhite Mususi, Blak Blad's Nicky Okullo and Andy Colle Omollo have joined former Kenya Cup champions KCB.

Mususi joins the Thika Road side from Quins while Okullo played for Blak Blad last season. Omollo played for Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) and was a key figure for Chipu at the Junior Rugby trophy.

KCB had, in the run-up to the Sevens season, roped in Kenya under 20 and Kabras player Wiliam Opaka former Mwamba and Mombasa Sports Club fly-half Elvis Namusasi, Menengai Oilers centre Austin Sikutwa, and Blak Blad's Lionel Ajeliti.

The Kenya Cup kicks off on November 25 and KCB assistant coach Dennis Mwanja believes the signings will help conjure a formidable as they seek to reclaim the national 15s title.

"We have brought in players who have immense experience and who will add fire to the exciting players as we fight for the title,” said Mwanja.

The bankers surrendered the title to Kabras after falling 19-9 in Kakamega in March. This was KCB's first loss to the millers in five meetings in the top-flight decider.

KCB will, in the meantime, battle for a 10th Impala Floodlit pre-season crown starting on Saturday.

They tackle Quins on Saturday at the Impala Club and Mwanja believes they are ready for the contest.

"The pre-season has been rigorous and the boys are up to the challenge. We want to lay a solid platform for the start of the season on Saturday and I am confident the boys will give their best shot,” added Mwanja.

Mwanja, however, said they will not underestimate the opposition.

“The rest of the teams have been hard at work so we will not take them lightly. It promises to be a competitive tournament,” added Mwanja.

The rest of the quarterfinal draw will see last year's runners-up Nondies tackle Catholic Monks as Homeboyz face Impala. Blak Blad entertain Strathmore Leos.

The semifinals are slated for October 21 with the final set for October 28, the date for the Rugby World Cup final in France.
