Head coach Weru expects a stern response from Mwamba who lost their opening match to Blak Blad 24-16.

"We know they will be hurting from that defeat and will want to win but we have good training week and we know the areas where we can hurt them and win,” observed Weru.

On their part., Mwamba have made six changes, with two in the forwards.  Paul Opiyo comes in as a tighthead prop and Dues Mudaki starts as a loosehead prop.

In the backs, Moses Keragori and former Quins and Impala scrumhalf Xavier Kipngetich start as the half-back combination as Edwin Watulo comes on the left wing in place for Shaquille Bosire as Apollo Owino replaces Madiba Magoya at the centre.

Coach Peter Kepha said they will be competitive at the set piece against the visitors .“The changes we have made should give us parity up front both in the scrum and lineout as well as quality for our backs to thrive," he added.

Champions Kabras, who started their title defence with a 72-10 thrashing of Kisumu face Nondies in the second match at 2 pm.

The Sugar Millers have a good record against Nondies—winning nine out of the 10 meetings between both sides with an average winning score of 37 points.

Carlos Katywa will rely on his heavy artillery in the forwards who include skipper George Nyambua, Teddy Akala, Ephraim Oduor, and Hillary Odhiambo with Jone Kubu, Ntabeni Dukisa, and Derrick Ashiundu the key actors in the backs.

Resurgent Quins have a date with Homeboyz at 4 pm at the same venue.
