National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung'wah has responded to Azimio leader Raila Odinga over a plot to disrupt Azimio's protests next week.

Speaking on Friday, Ichung'wah said that it is true they are plotting against Raila politically.

"Raila on Thursday accused me and the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of plotting against him, it is true we are plotting and we shall plot because after the voters sent him home in 2017, the then President Uhuru Kenyatta resuscitated him politically," he said.

"This time we are not plotting evil against him but politically I want to assure you that we shall continue planning on politics to unite Kenyans."

This is after Raila on Thursday sensationally claimed that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is planning to unleash mayhem during Azimio's protests next week.

The ODM leader alleged that the DP hosted a meeting at his Karen residence on Tuesday evening to plan how to disrupt the demonstrations.

According to Raila, the objective of the mayhem is to cause bloodshed and build evidence against him at the International Criminal Court.

"They invited several youths from different parts of the country to that meeting. That meeting turned out to be a strategy meeting to plan to counter the demonstrators on Monday," Raila said.

"The plan according to information we have is that these youth are going to be given uniforms similar to those of the MDD, Movement for Defence of Democracy, then they will mix with our youth and accompany them throughout the demonstrations."

Ichung’wah denied the allegations terming Raila’s statement as “idle talk and hallucinations”.

“I would only refer Tinga to my three-year-old daughter to tell him where I was on that Tuesday evening after I left Bunge,” he told the Star on phone.
