An image circulating online claiming to show a Zimbabwean minister wearing a see-through dress is manipulated.

The post, which was shared by Acholi Bongo on X, claims to show a Zimbabwean minister, who was showing support for prostitutes who were allegedly killed by thugs.

Zimbabwean minister breaks the internet with her see-through wear, showing her support for prostitutes who lost their lives to thugs,” the post read.

The correct position is the person in the image is Kenya’s Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha, and the image was also manipulated.

The post has received over 290,000 views, with 436 reposts and one thousand likes, including 71 bookmarks.

One of Acholi’s followers pointed out the manipulation of the image, saying it was ‘poorly’ done.

“But this is a photoshopped version of the picture unless you haven't seen it yet, plus it's vividly and poorly done for someone not to know it's fake,” the X user said in the comment.

Through a reverse image search, we established that the image was initially posted by Kenya’s Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha on her X account.

She posted the image in question with a caption informing her followers that she had just attended a Cabinet meeting chaired by President William Ruto on November 3, 2023.

“I Joined President Williams Ruto, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and fellow Cabinet Secretaries at a Cabinet meeting in Mombasa,” the post read.

The photo we are fact-checking was among the photos shared by CS Nakhumicha. However, in the original image, the CS’s dress was not see-through. Therefore, the image was altered.

Our efforts to reach CS Nakhumicha for comment were unsuccessful as she was not reachable on the phone.
