Naivas Supermarket has opened a new Naivas Express store in Mtwapa, Mombasa, marking its 106th branch in Kenya.
The new store comes a few weeks after opening another outlet in the coastal city of Mombasa as the retailer renews expansion across the country
Located at Petrocity Mtwapa, the store spans 9,000 square feet and is designed to offer a quick and convenient shopping experience for residents and visitors in the area.
Open 24 hours a day, the store will provide essential items such as fresh produce, groceries, household goods, and personal care products. This new outlet aims to meet the growing demand for convenient shopping in the busy Mtwapa area.
According to Naivas Chief of Strategy Andreas Von Paleske, This new development has been a long-standing request from the residents of Mtwapa.
“We are excited to finally bring the Naivas Express experience to the community. This store reflects our commitment to providing convenient shopping options for our customers, wherever they are," said Von Paleske.
The retailer has been on an aggressive expansion spree in the last few months, taking up prime space vacated by rivals and also new strategic locations.
"We look forward to serving the Mtwapa community and contributing to the vibrancy of this growing area."
Naivas also plans to open additional branches in Tilisi and Mavoko in the coming days.
The retailer had in February 2024, crossed 12,000 employees mark after the opening of new branches in the past 12 months, making the company one of the largest private sector employers in the country.
The opening is part of Naivas' broader expansion plan across the country, as the retailer continues to grow its presence in key locations.
