The American multinational technology company Microsoft has released a new set of intelligent features in office apps to make work easier for users, setting the stage for additional elements to be introduced soon.

Built into Word, the new researcher feature helps users to write well-researched, original content without leaving the app, while ‘editor’ uses machine learning to provide an advanced proofing and editing. These features will be available to office insiders.

The company also plans to roll out focused inbox across all versions of Outlook, which will give users one consistent view of the important items in their inboxes. The Zoom for PowerPoint feature aims to provide a smooth, effortless navigation through slides.
