After months of closure, at least 689 traders on Sunday were given a green light by the national government to move into the refurbished City Park Market in Parklands.
The market was to get an upgrade as the rehabilitation of the green spaces within Nairobi gained momentum early this year, with City Park being targetted for a facelift.
The businesses range from groceries, M-Pesa shops, boutiques, cyber cafes, fruit stalls to barbershops.
The stalls were given free of charge to those who occupied the place earlier but moving forward they will be paying a monthly fee of Sh200 per month
