Top Migori student wants to be a doctor

Mwita who scored 429 marks dreams of joining Alliance High School.

Migori top student Julius Chacha Mwita who scored 429 marks in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education wants to be a doctor.

Mwita, a student at Momokoro Academy in Isebania town said he also dreams of going to Alliance High School.

“I am overwhelmed. I knew I was going to perform well and when the results were announced I was happy I was among the top performers,” he said.

When the news broke, Mwita who was at home said his parents and fellow students picked him and they celebrated at the school together.

Momokoro Academy director Tobias Range said Mwita’s results gave them the impetus to be the top school in Migori.

He said they were also among the top in Nyanza with a mean score of 395.1  from 51 students, 23 of whom got 400 and above.

“We thank God for this results. The teachers, parents and candidates were dedicated in their work,” Range said.

At Milimani Hill Crest Academy in Migori town, Panyako Desmond Tutu got 426 marks out of 500. He also wants to be a doctor.

“I live with my grandparent and this results will repay her effort to ensure I get quality education. I thank my teachers for this gesture,” Tutu said.

Milimani Hill Crest Academy had a mean score of 353.14, which director Pheobe Awuonda said was a blessing to them for their hard work.

Across the county, other schools which performed well include St Benedict's Parochial with a mean score of 390.3, Rongo Success Academy (383.46), Kenya Relief Academy (377.28), Migori Blue Shine Academy (375.23), Goldfield Academy (364.78) and Rongo Shiners Academy (361).

Others are Milimani Hill Crest Academy (353.14), Rapogi Lwanda Complex (347), Harvard Junior Academy (338.52) and Rising Star Academy (330.4).
