DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa says Kenyans are currently suffering due to poor decision making at the ballot while electing leaders.

Wamalwa said Kenyans need a sober leader who understands the needs of voters and how they can meet them without frustrating the citizens.

“We are in the current situation due to poor decision making at the ballot and we have got only one choice; to collect signatures and send Ruto’s reign home for a better tomorrow,” Wamalwa said.

The former Cabinet Secretary  was addressing locals in various towns during saba saba rallies on Friday.

He said President William Ruto duped majority of the voters with hustler narrative against the dynasties to make himself relevant to lower class people when he was enjoying millions of shillings as the Deputy President.

“Hustler narrative was only used to deceive people for sympathy vote but he (President Ruto) is not a hustler,” he said.

Wamalwa said Kenyans should be on the lookout in future not to be duped by selfish leaders who don’t have voters' interest at heart.

He urged Kenyans to be more vigilant when making decisions at the ballot.

The DAP_K leader concerns come as the nation continues to face  economic hard times.

On the other hand Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi said Ruto is using the Finance Bill of 2023, to test waters to see if he (President) can change the constitution to remove the presidential term limit and multi-party democracy in the country as well.

The lawmaker said the head of state bulldozed the Finance Bill by intimidating the lawmakers and buying others to support it against the will of Kenyans.

“Kenyans were not supporting that Bill but some of the MPs were bought from the opposition to Kenya Kwanza while others were compelled to vote yes for it,” Senator Osotsi said.

The head of state had said he was waiting to see lawmakers who would vote against the Bill to bar Kenyan youths from getting jobs.

“I'm waiting to see those MPs who are going to vote against that Bill to deny Kenyans youths jobs when they have employed them via their votes,”  Ruto said in a past event.

Osotsi said all these happenings President Ruto is eyeing to amend the constitution so that he can contest for Presidential position without being limited.

ODM deputy party leader Wycliffe Oparanya said they are going to initiate signature collection to kick out Ruto and thereafter they will be doing the same to MPs who voted yes on the Finance Bill.
