Interior and administration CS Kithure Kindiki has urged politicians in Meru to be peaceful in their politicking.
He spoke after an Okolea governor program by Meru Kawira Mwangaza turned chaotic.
"There is no politician who will be allowed despite his rank will be allowed to cause chaos and destroy property," he said.
Kindiki said all the culprits would be arrested.
He said he would resolve cattle rustling in Meru County.
"We will tame banditry as we have done in other parts of the country. The same way I have spent time in Lamu and Baringo I will do the same in Meru," he said.
He said he will add more police reservists in 14 days.
He said police officers should use their weapons to deal with bandits to protect lives and property.
Kindiki asked for more time to deal with banditry once and for all.
"We will deal with those bloodthirsty criminals who kill Kenyans and steal property," he said.
He spoke in Kiengu, Igembe Central constituency when he launched a new sub-county and opened an office on Friday.
He was accompanied by MPS Dan Kiili (Igembe Central), Mugambi Rindikiri (Buuri), John Paul Mwirigi (Igembe Central), Julius Taitumu (Igembe North) Shadrack Mwiti (Imenti South) Rahimo Dawood (North Imenti) Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East) Kirima Nguchine (Central Imenti) Meru senator Kathuri Murungi Meru women rep Elizabeth Kailemia among other leaders.
Taitumu urged Kindiki to deploy National Police reservist to tame banditry in the Igembe North constituency.
"We are still having a problem as bandits from neighbouring counties have been wreaking havoc in that area," he said.
