Takaba Boys crowned winners of North Eastern Siyad Foundation tournament

Takaba Boys High School was crowned the winner of the concluded North Eastern Region Secondary Schools Sports Association for term 2 School games of 2024.

The event was held at  Takaba, Mandera County.

Takaba Boys will be joined by county high school, Chief Adano Girls, Sheik Ali High School and Hon DM Amin for a trip to Kisii County to represent the region in the annual school games at the national level.

This is after the schools won in the football, volleyball boys and volleyball girls categories respectively at the regional level.

The event, held on Saturday in Takaba, Mandera West Constituency, brought together winners from various categories.

Takaba Boys Secondary School has crowned champions in football and will represent the North Eastern Region at the national level in Kisii County.

This year’s event, sponsored by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Siyad Foundation, celebrated and motivated winners for their exceptional performances across different categories.

At the closing ceremony in Takaba town, Siyad Foundation Chief Executive Officer Adan Noor praised the participants for their discipline.

“The boys and girls have shown remarkable discipline and talent. As a foundation, we look forward to discovering more talent and providing the necessary training,” said Noor.

North Eastern Region Chairman of Kenya Secondary Schools Mohamed Ibrahim also commended the Siyad Foundation for their partnership and support of this year’s event.

“We appreciate the Siyad Foundation’s efforts in supporting youth and nurturing their talents. We are proud to collaborate with them,” said Ibrahim.

Siyad Foundation Founder and Patron Siyad Hassan Abdalla, affirmed the foundation’s commitment to working with schools to develop talent.

“Moving forward, we will annually partner with schools to nurture and support the talents of boys and girls,” said Abdalla.

He reiterated his unflinching support to the youth in the county who have been ruined by drugs and intoxicants due to lack of jobs, promising them a brighter future in the posterity.

Siyad Foundation provided uniforms to all teams and trophies to all the winners.

The foundation also provided individual awards to players.

The foundation has a notable history of supporting school games, consistently contributing to the development of youth sports in the region.

It previously backed the Wajir East games, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to fostering athletic talent and providing positive outlets for young people.

In addition to the Wajir East games, the Siyad Foundation has also sponsored several tournaments across the counties.
