A teenage couple stabbed to death was discovered at their house in Umoja Two.

They had been stabbed multiple times and left to die three days ago.

The man was identified as Eric Maina Njeri, 18, while his girlfriend had yet to be identified.

Preliminary findings show the two were stabbed multiple times and left to die in their one-bedroom house.

The killers then ransacked the house and escaped with electronic goods and valuables, as a way of distracting from their murder motive, police said.

The reason for the murder had yet to be established.

The woman’s body was found near the toilet; her hands were tied. It bore deep stab wounds in the abdomen, neck, breasts and legs. The intestines out of the body cavity.

The man’s body bore stab wounds to the neck and chest was found in the bedroom.

The odour of decomposition alerted neighbours.

The house was locked from the outside using a padlock.

The man’s brother told police he had failed to reach Maina by phone for three days since November 6, prompting a search.

A caretaker at the house said Maina had relatives living abroad who often sent rent and upkeep fees.

Buruburu police boss Francis Kamau said they had yet to establish the motive of the murder and those behind it.

He said the killers escaped with a television set, mobile phones and two laptops, among other valuables.

The bodies were moved to a mortuary for a postmortem exam. Afterwards, investigations would begin.
