“As we embark on this transformative journey, I implore the community to embrace and support the repossession of Pumwani Nyayo Wards. Let us pave the way for a brighter, healthier future for our children, right here in Nairobi County,” he said.

Speaking at the same event, Kakamukunji Constituency MP Yusuf Hassan urged mothers in the area to take advantage of health services being offered by the Pumwani Maternity Hospital.

Among the free services offered during the Pumwani Mashinani event are breast and cervical cancer screening, family planning, antenatal clinic, HPV Vaccine, nutrition counselling, NHIF registration and education, among others.

Hassan in particular urged residents to go for early cancer screening to enable early detection and treatment. He observed that many cancer patients die because the disease is detected late.

Others present during the event were Chief Officers Dr Irene Muchoki (Medical services), Tom Nyakaba (Public Health), as well as members of the hospital board led by vice chair, Evelyn Ikwii Omasaja.
