The 8th edition of the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition is set to take place at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi from August 8-10.

This annual event is renowned for contributing to the agro-food and packaging industries.

MXM Exhibitors, a Dubai-based event firm, has organised a three-day expo that seeks to connect local farmers to the best agricultural technology.

Axan Rashid, MXM Expo organiser, said the exhibition promises to be a significant gathering for stakeholders in the agricultural and food sectors, providing a platform for networking, innovation, and showcasing the latest advancements in technology and products.

“We aim to provide a platform for technology transfer, boosting inter-trade, and enhancing the opening of the gateway between Kenya and other 40 countries from Europe and Asian nations,” he pointed out.

Rashid also mentioned that the expo is timely for local farmers, as it will help them attract agricultural technologies to improve food production.

“Collaboration between industry players is vital in ensuring that there is value addition for the local farmers. The best way to achieve that is by collaborating with well-developed nations like the UAE that practice modern agriculture to increase food production. Our goal is to provide trade and technological exchange opportunities between Kenya and the world.”

In its 8th year, the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition has established itself as a premier event in the region, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the globe.

The event will draw more than 200 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, including industry professionals, investors, government representatives, and academic researchers.

The exhibition will feature a diverse range of sectors within the agro-food and packaging industries. Visitors will encounter the latest advancements in agricultural equipment, showcasing machinery and tools designed to enhance productivity and efficiency in farming.

The food processing technology segment will highlight innovative solutions for food preservation, packaging, and processing.

Attendees can explore sustainable and cutting-edge packaging materials and equipment aimed at reducing environmental impact. The event will also showcase new and improved food and beverage products from both local and international producers, as well as advancements in food ingredients and beverages promoting sustainable agriculture.

Additionally, there will be displays related to poultry and meat processing, poultry equipment, tea, food disposables, master batches, chemicals, and paper machinery.

“One of the key highlights of the 8th edition is the Innovation Pavilion. This section will focus on showcasing groundbreaking technologies and solutions that are transforming the agro-food and packaging industries. Start-ups and established companies alike will have the opportunity to present their latest innovations, from smart farming techniques to eco-friendly packaging materials,” Rashid added.

Kenya stands as one of the fastest-growing economies in Sub-Saharan Africa, experiencing a significant industrial boom in multiple sectors, particularly in agriculture and manufacturing.

Some of the major international exhibitors taking part in the expo are Prive, Hastavuk, Jamesway, Meyn Food Processing, Chore-Time, Tabraiz Molds, and Wifco.
