Boy aged 4 among three killed in Machakos road accident

Police say driver of the Prado was at fault, leading to the deadly crash

A head-on collision killed three people on the spot along Machakos-Kenol road in Machakos county on Tuesday.

Matungulu subcounty police commander Monica Kimani said the victims included a four-year-old boy. 

Kimani said the bodies were moved to Kangundo Level Four Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem. 

“The scene was visited and necessary action taken. The injured victims were also rushed to Kangundo Level Four Hospital where they are being attended to,” Kimani said.

She said both the wreckages were towed to KBC police station awaiting inspection.

Kimani cautioned motorists against violating traffic rules and regulations.

She said motorists should be cautious on safety of other road users and abide by all traffic laws to prevent unnecessary loss of lives.

Kangundo Level 4 Hospital manager Evayo Loveto on Tuesday confirmed that the three bodies of two women and a child had been moved to the hospital's mortuary.
