“The move is aimed at ensuring that the county has competent local personnel to provide quality service delivery in all parts of the vast county instead of always sourcing for the human resources from other areas of the country whenever the need arises,” Guyo said.

The Governor also stated that it was agreed that the agency will partner in other areas starting with drought response interventions through the provision of relief food to support families hard hit, and drilling of boreholes in strategic locations to help address the big challenge of water shortage in many parts of the county.

Guyo expressed his gratitude to Direct Aid Africa Muslim Agency for their commitment to making a huge contribution, especially towards education, and pledged to closely work with them in order to enrol more students to pursue various courses.

He revealed that he was a beneficiary of the agency that paid his school fees while growing up.

“I’m living proof and a product of the Direct Aid Africa Muslim Agency. It is a great privilege that youths from my home county will also get the same benefits,” Guyo said.
