A Form One student of Orengo Secondary School in Bondo, Siaya county died by suspected suicide Tuesday evening.
David Okoth Otieno, 18, was found dangling from a tree in Obaga village, Sakwa South Location.
The body was discovered by villagers, said acting Nyaguda sublocation assistant chief Collins Abuto.
Prior to his death, the deceased had spent a month away from school. When he reported back, he was allegedly turned back to seek his guardian.
The remains of the student were moved to Bondo subcounty Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy.
