The boda boda riders claimed that the suspect is armed with a gun and he uses it to threaten people.

During the fracas, riders claimed the suspect fired in the air to scare them.

The guns were later taken to Rodi Kopany police station even as the riders attempted to storm the station.

Kinne said they plan to charge the riders with trespass.

“It is an act of impunity and we will not allow it to repeat," he said.

Kinne said his officers have established that the suspect was using a homemade gun.
