National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah has commended the people of Nyanza for their gratitude and unwavering support for President William Ruto’s government.

Speaking in Siaya during the homecoming event of Energy Cabinet  Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, Ichung'wah highlighted how, despite having only two CSs, the Nyanza region has demonstrated immense loyalty and commitment to the government's agenda.

"Your Excellency, I have learned something valuable from the people of Siaya and Nyanza; you are great people with deep gratitude," he said, noting that the region has shown what true support looks like.

Ichung'wah then turned his focus to the Mountain Kenya region, which boasts seven cabinet secretaries and a deputy president, urging his people to be at the forefront of demonstrating gratitude and backing President Ruto's administration.

"What about us who have not less than seven cabinet secretaries and a deputy president? We should be leading and be at the forefront of showing gratitude and supporting your government, Mr. President," he said.

He further assured President Ruto that just like the people of Nyanza are supporting his government, the people from the other regions are all united in their commitment to the government's success.

"I want to assure you, just like the people of Nyanza support your government, the people of Mt Kenya, Rift Valley, Coast, Northern Kenya will support your government because we are one united people under the Republic of Kenya."

President Ruto has received massive support and warm reception from the people within the region during his tour to launch development projects in Migori, Homa Bay, and Siaya counties.
