ALL urban centres in Kajiado county will be rehabilitated, with piped water and garbage collection vehicles provided, Governor David Nkedianye has said.
Nkedianye said his administration is committed to improving the working environment for traders.
The governor was briefing the press after meeting market chairmen from all towns in the county on Monday and Tuesday in Kajiado town.
He said the construction of a modern market at cost of Sh70 million has started in Ongata Rongai.
Nkedianye said the county government is committed to rehabilitating the 105 stalls in Ongata Rongai.
He said the rehabilitation of Ngong market is almost complete.
Those who attended the meeting are Simon Maina (Ngong), Muthama Ng’ang’a (Kiserian), Gregory Kamau (Kajiado), Simon Kamau (Loitokitok), Emmanuel Sane (Kimana) and John Wangige (Kitengela).
