Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has implored President William Ruto to remain focused on reviving the Kenyan economy, expressing optimism amidst current challenges.

Speaking at an interdenominational prayer gathering graced by President William Ruto in Machakus, Busia on Sunday, Lusaka acknowledged the hardships facing the nation but emphasized his belief in a brighter future.

"We are facing challenges, no doubt but with dedication and collaboration, we can overcome them," Lusaka said.

Governor Lusaka urged all elected leaders to join forces in supporting President Ruto's economic revitalisation efforts.

He stressed the detrimental nature of divisiveness, declaring, "Fighting the government benefits no one. We must work together for the sake of our nation."

The function was attended by among others the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula, Cabinet Secretaries, Governor Paul Otuoma (Busia), MPs, and MCAs among others
