President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday led numerous political leaders in endorsing Raila Odinga as the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate at KICC, Nairobi, on Saturday.
Raila will vie for the presidential seat under the new formation during the August polls.
Uhuru also commended Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for dropping his presidential bid to back Raila Odinga.
The coronation of Raila as the presidential candidate of Azimio la Umoja was earlier delayed after Kalonzo allegedly issued fresh demands before joining the formation.
The event was scheduled to start at 9 am but five hours later, the ceremony had not commenced.
But now 26 political parties including the Wiper party, have officially signed the coalition agreement committing to work with Azimio la Umoja.
