UDA presidential candidate William Ruto attended an Economic Forum with leaders from Mandera on Tuesday.
The forum was majorly centered on investing in Mandera and making it a player in Kenya's economy.
Ruto said inclusion is a social-economic imperative and will make Kenya a stronger nation and enhance its economic growth.
"Marginalized regions have been denied the chance to play their rightful socio-economic role in the development of our nation," Ruto said.
The DP also touched on insecurity matters that have lately been on the rise.
"We must spare no effort to ensure security across Kenya. The cost of insecurity is lost opportunities, missed investments, and wasted resources, including time," he said.
The leaders who attended were Ali Noor Aden (Gubernatorial Aspirant), Amina Gedow (Women Rep), Hache Isaack (Senate), Hussein Hassan (Deputy Governor), Abdi Kul (Majority Leader), Aden Duale (Garissa Township), and MCA Abdi Ali (Neboi).
Abdinur Diisow (Elwak South), Robow Hassan (Aspirant Kamukunji), Adan Haji (Takaba South), Ibrahim Ali Wariyo (Shimbir Fatuma) and Shaban Hassan Hillow (Ashabito) were also among those who attended.
