Kenya kwanza deputy presidential candidate Martha Karua and UDA deputy president candidate Rigathi Gachagua has arrived for the deputy presidential debate at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
Karua arrived in the company of her grandchildren.
"I am feeling good and you can see I am surrounded by my grandchildren," Karua said shortly after arriving at CUEA.
Rigathi arrived accompanied by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Gatundu South’s Moses Kuria and Kenya Kwanza Campaign Secretariat spokesperson Hussein Mohamed.
Gachagua arrived shortly past 7 pm. He is the running mate of presidential candidate William Ruto.
The deputy presidential candidate said he looked forward to passing the Hustler’s message to the group of Kenyans who don’t attend rallies.
Journalists Sophia Wanuna (KTN) and James Smart (NTV) will moderate the debate.
The panel discussions prior and after will be moderated by Citizen TV anchor and presenter Trevor Ombija.
Gachagua and Azimio's presidential running mate Martha Karua will battle out in the second phase of the debate.
