Religious leaders on Wednesday visited president-elect William Ruto at the Deputy President's official Karen residence.
The visit was to congratulate him on his election as the fifth president-elect of the republic of Kenya.
The clergy present were Bishop Emeritus of African Inland Church Kenya Rev Silas Yego, Philip Anyolo, Archbishop Antony Muheria, Supkem National Chairman Hassan Ole Naado, Bishop Robert Lang’at and Bishop Ogonyo Ngede.
Bishop Joseph Ntombura, Bishop Mark Kariuki, Bishop David Oginde, and Bishop Kepha Omae, among others, were also present.
The religious leaders congratulated the president-elect and hailed Kenyans for maintaining peace before, during and after elections.
They asked Kenyans to remain calm and patient as the election exercise nears the end.
