The renovated Uhuru and Central Parks will soon be Nairobi's new chill-out spots.
On Tuesday, Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) released photos of the parks that left many wanting to go to the park.
In a tweet, NMS said the green spaces house several recreational spots.
They include a play ground, an outdoor gym, jogging tracks, botanical trails, outdoor library and a skating park.
The renovation begun in September 2021, 52 years after the park was opened to the public.
"The revamped green spaces will play a critical role in environmental pollution management, social- economic development of the nation as well as the physical well-being of citizens," NMS said.
The commissioning dates are yet to be announced.
Uhuru Park was gazetted and opened by the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta on May 23,1969.
It represents the country's independence and is home for Mau-Mau freedom fighters monument.
