National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula on Wednesday met with World Bank Country Director Keith Hansen.
Hansen had paid a courtesy call to Wetangula at his office at the Parliamentary Buildings.
Wetangula said he was open to working with all stakeholders to better the country's status.
"My office remains committed to working with all stakeholders, both in public and private to serve our people in the best way possible," he said.
He however did not disclose the details of the meeting.
The remarks were a reiteration of his maiden oath on Thursday, September 8, when he pledged to be an approachable leader.
"My eyes will be keen to see and listen to all of you. My office will not be an Eiffel tower, it will be accessible to all of you."
The World Bank has supported the country in its response to the Covid 19 pandemic and in mitigating drought.
It said the country's GDP growth was projected to grow by 5.5 percent due to the ongoing drought.
The rate is slow compared to 2021's 7.5 per cent.
