Buildher held an exhibition event dubbed Women Fundis in Construction Conference on Friday at Safari Park.

The conference was planned by Buildher and its partners, to promote, support and advance the careers of women fundis in construction.

Buildher is a social enterprise that empowers vulnerable women through construction and manufacturing skills training to high-value job opportunities in the construction, furniture and manufacturing industries.

The invite-only event attracted over 300 Buildher artisans, employers and partners to champion inclusivity in the construction sector through various conversations and activities.

The conference consisted of panel discussions on relevant topics and female keynote speakers sharing their insights regarding the construction industry.

There were professional development sessions for women fundis to network, learn, and share ideas amongst one another.

Buildher aims at creating a positive change within the industry and creating awareness of the work it's doing to increase the number of women entering the industry and gain support from partners, especially women in the industry.

First Ladies from counties Nyamira (Emily Nyaribo), Marsabit (Alamitu Jattani), and Migori (Agnes Ayako) attended the exhibition.

Nairobi Deputy Governor James Njoroge Muchiri, CEO and Cofounder Buildher Tatu Gatere were also present during the exhibition.
