Tenants in a building in Ruiru, Kiambu were on Sunday forced to evacuate their items as the building had started developing cracks.
The four top floors of the seven-storey building were added after the initial three were constructed.
Residents said the building that is still under construction was declared unsafe several times after developing cracks on its walls but nothing was done regarding the matter.
The evicted tenants started moving out their belongings from midday.
An evacuation notice was placed on the gate.
"Following the development of cracks on the walls and basement of Baraka building that is opposite the Ruiru police station in Ruiru town it has been declared unsafe for occupation," it read
"This is therefore to serve notice to all occupants of Baraka building and the immediate vicinity."
