Water PS Paul Ronoh on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU )with Bomet county government in an effort to reduce the loss of water (Non-revenue water) which is currently at 60 percent loss at the county headquarters.
The event was witnessed by Bomet Governor Prof Hillary Barchok.
The PS cited lack of meters, old infrastructure which include leakages, vandalism and illegal connections as some of the contributing factors to Non-revenue water.
Bomet has been mentioned to be among the highest counties when it comes to loss of water.
The PS also inspected ongoing water projects in the county.
In attendance were Parliamentary Affairs PS Aurelia Rono,Water Secretary Eng SAO Alima,Central Rift-Valley Water Works Development Agency chief executive officer Eng Samuel Oruma among others.
