President William Ruto on Monday met with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Director-General Qu Dongyu at State House, Nairobi.
He lauded FAO’s support in developing the Kenya Migratory and Invasive Pest Management Strategy (2022 - 2027).
"We recognise the crucial role that the Food and Agriculture Organisation continues to play in increasing agricultural productivity in the wake of worsening food security in Kenya," he said.
Ruto said his government is committed to intensifying their partnership to produce enough food to feed everyone.
"That is how we will sustainably eliminate hunger and tackle malnutrition in the country," he said.
Also in attendance were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi.
