Kenyans on Wednesday made their way into the Jevanjee gardens to attend Azimio-led prayer rally.
This will mark the first Azimio prayer rally to the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).
By around 11 am Kenyans had already gathered and started with worship and prayers.
Some Kenyans donned traditional regalia to the event.
Initially, the opposition had planned to conduct the prayer rally at the gate of Anniversary Towers, the headquarters of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) – a plan that was vacated over the weekend.
Instead, the Azimio said they will be at the historic Jevanjee Gardens and urged its supporters to turn up in large numbers.
The rally coached as a "call for prayers" appears to be a direct response to the looming reconstitution of the commission, which Azimio insists favours the Executive.
