First Lady Rachael Ruto was installed as the patron of the Kenya Girl Guides Association KGGA on Friday.

This was done during the celebration of World Thinking Day 2023, in Karen, Nairobi.

World Thinking Day was set aside to provide a forum for all women and girls to freely express their ideas.

Every year on February 22, the World Organization of Girl Guide & Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) observes World Thinking Day.

The day coincides with the birthday of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout and Girl Guide movements.

The First lady affirmed her commitment to the development of women and girls as agents of change in society.

"This is a unique approach to non-formal education programs., leadership development, and empowering girls and young women to develop the skills and confidence needed to make positive changes in their communities, a perfect fit for World Thinking Day," she said
