Pro-Azimio supporters on Tuesday took to the streets heeding to mass demonstration calls by the coalition leader Raila Odinga.

In Kisumu, one of the protesters went to the streets dressed in a bra, a towel and had a head scarf on.

The man was holding a placard written "Dear Commander In Chief Uchumi Umechemka na Youths Hawana Janta."

This is loosely translated to, "Dear Commander In Chief the economy is depressed and youth are unemployed."

As of 3 pm on Tuesday, the protests were still on in Kisumu and parts of Nairobi.

The whereabouts of Azimio's top leadership including Raila, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and her Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka, however, remained unknown.
