Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u on Thursday read out the 2023-2024 budget in Parliament.
Some Kenyans in Nairobi could not wait to reach home lest they miss something and the big screens in Central Business District saved them.
They stood in numbers as they were seen keenly listening to CS Ndungu.
This is the first budget being read in President William Ruto's regime.
Ndungu arrived in Parliament accompanied by PS Chris Kiptoo among others.
He started his journey along Harambee Avenue from his office at Treasury Buildings.
He rode in a grey Passat as police walked on the sides as he headed to Parliament Buildings.
Upon his arrival at 2:31 pm, he was received by National Assembly's Finance and National Planning chairman Molo MP Kimani Kuria and his Budget and Appropriation counterpart Ndindi Nyoro.
He then posed for a photo before proceeding to the chamber to read the Budget.
