EALA MP Suleiman Shahbal's son Samir Shabal has quit bachelorhood.
Samir wedded the love of his life Fatma Wahid in an exquisite private ceremony held on Sunday.
MP Shabal made public the wedding while congratulating the two in a social media post.
He however did not share the image of the bride, a move that elicited reactions on social media.
The ceremony was attended by family members, friends and political leaders
Most of the Islamic guests wore white Kanzus with matching white hats.
The guests were feted with mouthwatering dishes such as biryani, chicken, fruits and other foods.
In a post, Shahbal congratulated the couple and wished them the very best as they began they new journey.
"Congratulations to my son Samir Shahbal on your wedding. Welcome to the club! I wish you and your wife the best of luck as you start this wonderful journey," Shahbal said.
"I ask you all to pray for the newly married couple."
Some of the leaders who attended include Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, former Lamu Governor Fahim Twaha, Mombasa Senator Mohammed Faki, Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi, Kisauni MP Rashid Bedzimba, Jomvu MP Badi Twalib, Mvita MP Mohammed Machele, Major General Mohammed Badi among others.
Shahbal also thanked Chief Kadhi Athman Abdulhalim for presiding over the event.
"I am grateful to my whole team who organized and supervised the entire event. I'm truly grateful," he said.
