The National Assembly Committee for  Transport on Wednesday toured Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The MPs led by Chairperson George Kariuki were on a fact-finding mission after the airport was affected by last week Friday's blackout.

One of the two new generators at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport that are yet to be commissioned to start operations on August 30, 2023.

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) attributed the nearly 2-hour power outage at JKIA to system failures. 

The authority said one of their generators failed to start.
