President William Ruto on Monday was presented with portable stalls at State House, Nairobi.
While viewing the stalls, the head of state said the adoption of portable stalls offers Kenyans a rare chance to exploit their huge entrepreneurial potential in decent, secure, and dignified conditions.
The President also rode in one of the stalls around State House, Nairobi.
"It presents flexibility that will enable small traders to adapt to changing market locations and business necessities, hence increasing job opportunities and earnings," he said.
The portal stalls will benefit small and medium-sized enterprises.
Also present were stakeholders from the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development led by Cabinet Secretary Zacharia Njeru.
