Mombasa County on Thursday marked a milestone following the completion of the Buxton Point Affordable Housing Phase One.

President William Ruto handed over 584 units to their new owners.

He also presided over the groundbreaking for Phase 2 of the Buxton Point affordable housing project and the neighbouring Mzizima estate.

GulfCap Real Estate was the developer of the Sh6 billion Buxton Point phase one project.

The President was accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Mombasa Governor Abdullswamad Sherrif Nassir among other leaders.

Affordable Housing Financing will ensure that ordinary people have access to affordable mortgages.

Ruto said all Kenyans will eventually own decent homes should his affordable housing program be implemented to the latter.

Ruto said the program, one of the pillars of economic growth in his manifesto, will give Kenyans employment, dignified housing and economic progress.
