Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi and Murang’a County Woman Representative Betty Maina got married in a traditional ceremony.
Two are said to have bumped into each other on the campaign trail ahead of the August 2022 General Election.
The ceremony attracted political bigwigs from across Mt Kenya and outside including National Assembly Majority Whip Silvanus Osoro, Nairobi County Deputy Governor Njoroge Muchiri among others.
The pictures shared by Osoro on his Facebook account showed UDA leaders posing for pictures.
MP Wamumbi proposed to Maina in April 2023, a request that she accepted and flaunted on social media.
The proposal was witnessed by among others Governors Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Susan Kihika (Nakuru), and Nominated Senator Veronicah Maina.
Betty took to social media to showcase her new ring, thanking everyone who showed up for the occasion and particularly her husband-to-be for making it happen.
